Minutes of meeting of Executive Committee of Sikkim State Civil Service Officers’ Association

A meeting of the Executive Committee of SSCSOA was held on 25.06.2025 under the chairmanship of Shri Dushyant Pariyar, President-SSCSOA.

The agenda of the meeting was as under :

1. School Adoption for Development
2. Mission – Connect Earth
3. Revision of Annual Membership Rates
4. Annual General Meeting
5. Meeting of Group Coordinators

After detailed discussions and deliberations, the Committee finalised the following:

1. School Adoption for Development: It was decided to adopt a school for development on a pilot basis and prepare road map for the implementation of basic infrastructural improvement to it. The objective of the program includes assisting and enhancing infrastructural needs and other basic needs in underserved, remote school, fostering holistic development for students and the school. Focus shall be on infrastructure upgrades (e.g., smart classrooms, libraries, teachers’ common room, washrooms, drinking water etc), teacher and student welfare initiatives (nutrition, scholarships, annual awards), providing guidance on competitive examinations (All India Services, State Services) and all possible guidance in personality and career development.
2. Mission – Connect Earth: It was also decided to call for the wholehearted contribution of SCS members to Mission – Connect Earth aimed at the revival of barren land. The Association will request the Chief Coordinator of Mission - Connect Earth to identify a suitable plot at Samsing, Pakyong for contributing to this noble initiative endorsed by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim. After the identification of the plot, the members will be informed of Shramdaan Days in advance. Printed T-shirts featuring the Association’s logo and initiative details shall be made available for purchase by members.    This initiative reflects the Association’s commitment in supporting rural agricultural and farming practices, aligning with the vision of the Hon’ble Chief Minister. This is aimed at extending moral support to a noble initiative envisioned by the Hon’ble Chief Minister and to convey deep sensitivity and respect shared by the entire SCS fraternity towards the dignity of agriculture and traditional farming practices in rural Sikkim.
3. Revision of Annual Membership Rates: It was also decided to revise the rates of annual membership fee as under for the Calendar Year -2025 as under :   

• Under Secretary & Deputy Secretary : Rs.200 pm ( Rs.2,400 p.a.)
• Joint Secretary & Additional Secretary :  Rs.300 pm ( Rs.3,600 p.a.)
• Special Secretary & Secretary/ CCS : Rs.400 pm ( Rs.4,800 p.a.)

          The revision of annual membership fee shall be placed in the next AGM for post facto approval.

       4. Annual General Meeting: The tentative date for the next annual general meeting has been fixed on 28th August, 2025.

       5. Meeting of Group Coordinators: The meeting of the Group Coordinators is fixed on 2nd July, 2025 through Virtual Mode.
