Sikkim State Civil Service Officers’ Association adopts Rhenock Rungdung Primary School

The Executive Members of Sikkim State Civil Service visited Rhenock Rungdung Government Primary School on 02.11.2025 and handed over kitchen utensils for the use in the mid day meal kitchens of the school. Sikkim State Civil Service has adopted Rhenock Rungdung Government Primary School and the members have been visiting the school continuously. This initiative also aligns with the suggestion of the Hon’ble Chief minister, Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) who had directed the members to explore adoption of schools that are underserved.

The SCS team was led by Dushyant Pariyar, President - SSCSOA who is also the Secretary to the Government of Sikkim (Panchayati Raj) and was accompanied by Suresh Rai, Joint Secretary - SSCSOA, Asha Subba, Treasurer-SSCSOA and Munna Pradhan, Assistant Treasurer-SSCSOA.

The SSCSOA has introduced structured programs, including School Adoption for Development, Mission – Connect Earth for Revival of Barren Land, and initiatives focused on sanitation and environmental sustainability. These programs are designed to maximize the involvement of Sikkim Civil Service Officers (SCS) and their active engagement in social outreach.

The adoption of Rhenock Rungdung Government Primary School aims to enhance infrastructure and meet essential requirements in underserved schools, and serve the school for few years with continued support.
